A few of my favorite projects.

I'm so excited I've been choose to be spotlighted on one of my favorite blogs, Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog, So I've decided to add a few of my favorite "other" projects.

This is a graduation gift I created for some special grads, I used my cricut to create the shaped box, and filled it with handmade chocolates, another of my favorite crafts, creating chocolates............did I mention I'm a big fan of chocolate. lol.

A little gift box I made for my sister.  Lately I've discovered how much I love creating little boxes and bags.

Beading is one of my favorite crafts, I just love creating jewelry as gifts,or using my large bead collection for other projects, My family looks forward to the Beaded Christmas tree ornaments I create them each year,
Recently my sister introduced me to the world of cake pops, and I discovered another craft I love, The rose bouquet was a bridal shower gift for a friend, the Tinker bell pops I made for my nieces 4th birthday party, My sister also introduced me to the wonderful Cricut cake machine, here are a couple of cakes created using the cake machine. The first is a Tinker bell cake we made for my niece, along with the pops.
A Birthday cake for my Brother-in-law that my sister, mom and I made using gumpaste, fondant, and rice crisptie treats for the plane,  The last cake we made for a friend, the show was sculptured using gumpaste, the phrase, border and butterflies were cut with the cake machine, I just love that Cricut cake machine, after lots of practice and patience I've finally mastered it and can now pretty much do anything with in.

Cherish Layout

I created this layout for DCWV's Feburay sketch challenge, I loved this sketch, but I have to say the idea I developed for creating the hexagon design turned out to be alot more work than I anticipated, I stamped and heat embossed each peice, cut them out by hand, inked and double matted them, and arranged the design, Kinda like how it turned out though so it was worth the effort, each has it's own little sentiment.
The tiny phrase stamps are from an Autumn leaves collection, the butterflies are inkadado stamps, I also embossed them, inked and fussy cut them. The rose is a paper piecing from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs, http://www.littlescrapsofheavendesigns.com/ and the metal sentiment and lace are from my stash,
Papers used here are from DCWV's Garden Party pack, Love that pack.

Recipe card

Over at the Fantabulous Cricut Cutting Blog they are having a "Kiss the cook" challenge, creating a project using a recipe. I created a card using my "Once upon a Princess" cartridge to create my ice cream cone, I spent alot of time brainstorming how to incorporate a recipe into a project, when I came up with creating my own funny little recipe for a teenage Birthday card. I used another Cricut cut, The birthday sentiment with balloons, I cut it in the Cricut Craft room when it was a weekly freebie, but for the life of me I can't remember what cart or collection it came from, I've been all over the cricut library but cant find it.

Gumball Just Because Card

Over at the Cuddlebug Spot they are having a "Cute as a Button" challenge this week, it took me awhile to figure out a way how to create a card using buttons in an unusual and cute way. I was going through my Cricut cartridges looking for ideas when this one came upon me, lol
For my card I used my Sweethearts cartridge to cut the gumball machine, I embossed the back panel with my new "Juli's Garden" embossing folder, sentiment is stamped on a cricut cut banner, the buttons in the bowl are real buttons mixed with paper cut ones cut using my cuddlebug and a Sizzix cutting die, the heart is cut using a cuddlebug die.
