Tutorital for using a corner punch to create a border

Step 1. gather supplies: punch, scrappaper (to practice)
You need to use a punch where you can remove the corner guides, as I did here,
This is one that I picked up at a local dollar store, but I know there are others that can be used, I have 2 EK success where I can also remove the guides.
Step 2. punch a shape at the beginning of the paper strip,
Step 3. this is the tricky part, turn the punch over with the paper inserted, move paper around till you have punched shape lining up with the punch holes edge, I use the end of the crescent, turn punch around on table, keeping paper in place, this takes some doing, and punch a 2nd shape,
Step 4. punch 2nd shape and check position on paper, if your not happy move the paper slightly and try again, as yo can see it took 3 tries for me to get it where I wanted it, keep in mind where the paper with the previous punched shape rests on the edge of the punch,
Step 5. using a marker mark where the punched edge was positioned under the punch when you were punching the continuous area, for example my punched shape was inserted right up to the edge of the diamond on the design,
so for my next punch I will know right were I'm positing my paper, I slide it over till the shape I just punched show right where the diamond ends. You can see where I marked my punch, this way I always know where to punch without having to turn it over and risking moving my paper out of position each time.
Step 6. continue punching till you have a desired length border, as you see with this punch I also get a scallop,
I love finding extra uses for my punches, I do hope this is helpful for someone, I also hope my instructions are clear.

My latest work January

Things have been fairly slow lately, but I've kept busy with other projects, mostly sewing, however I did manage to create some layouts.
My cute little niece Christiana last year at her very first Christmas, the mouse is a cutting file that a lovely lady shared, I can't remember the site now, the gate frame is also silhouette cut, a file from Penny Duncan creations. She creates the most beautiful cutting files, I just love her work.
I flocked the mouse's coat, haven't had much luck with this medium yet, but I'm gonna figure it out yet.
"Dear Santa Define Good", If that's doesn't describe my adorable nieces mischievous ways, I don't know what does. LOL,
Here she is being her mischievous herself again, this time we are doing our best to get her to pose for Christmas card pictures, LOL.
I've been doing cards all along, but lately I just haven't found any satisfaction with any that I've made, here are 2 of my favorites out of the many I've done in the last few months.
